Drew Echols’ passion for farming began at a young age. After a brief stint working for Georgia Power Company, he returned to his family's 110-year-old farming operation, Jaemor Farms, to bring a 21st Century vision to the legacy.
Over the past two decades, Drew has successfully expanded the family's peach operation, adding strawberries, pumpkins, tomatoes, and other produce items that are popular at the roadside farmer's market. Embracing a new side of the industry, he pioneered the organization’s u-pick events, farm tours, and the annual corn maze, providing educational opportunities for the public and diversifying the farm's offerings.
Beyond farming, Drew actively serves his community and state. He's a graduate of Leadership Hall County and currently holds positions on the Board of Directors for Hall County Farm Bureau and the Executive Board for the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce. In 2015, he and his wife, Shelly, were graduates of Leadership Georgia, and they served as Program Chairs in 2017. Drew recently finished his term on the Board of Trustees with the Leadership Georgia organization. His dedication to the agricultural community is evident through his years of service with the Georgia Fruit and Vegetable Growers Association, culminating in his presidency in 2021.
Drew resides in Alto, GA with wife Shelly and two children, Chloe and Cohen. They are devoted members of Level Grove Baptist Church.
